Hi Bill,
Thanks for your insights on blogging. This is such a new medium for me, I feel I’m learning something new all the time, and really appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from fellow bloggers.
I do have that same goal for my blog — to have it be a forum for sharing news and ideas — and hope that it grows into that!
About my paintings; They’re made up of multiple layers of acrylic medium. Between the layers elements are painted, stenciled or cut from paper. I do like to create a feeling of space within the painting — like peeking into another world.
Best, Nancy

I have been art blogging for about 2 years, and I think one of the most important things I have learned is to invite other artists you respect to send photos, videos, and statements - and then post what they send.

It builds a community of readers, and what I want from my blog is a critical community of art practictioners reading and looking and sharing ideas together. So by inviting them, I have made them part of my community.

Your paintings are interesting, are there layers of acrylic gel between the paint? They look like puddles with aquarium plants floating in them... Interesting technique.

Ok,
